Guidelines closest to Natural are the base for the Wind Ethereal style. The clothes are loose and comfortable, and the outfits are never based on color contrasts. The Wind colors are very cool shades of blue, blue-gray, steel, shades of gray, graphite, and black as complementary color.
White also appears in the Wind Ethereal. It is not a purely Wind color, but it creates a very harmonious combination with a Wind palette when used in the right way. When we add white to blue and gray, we get outfits with a Natural vibe. On the other hand, the introduction of black adds power and changes the form of the Wind style, giving it rock or rock-motorcycle connotations.
At this point, it is worth noting that the Wind style is never sexy or provocative. If an outfit looks that way, it means that it is affected by Crimson Ethereal. Wind leathers (jackets, boots, handbags, motorcycle pants) are never shiny or seductive. Vampy rock stylizations have a substantial admixture of Crimson. On the other hand, gothic styling is a blend of the Fairytale (steampunk) and the Crimson, often with a hint of the girly Rose Ethereal. For a change, the crazy punk style combines Wind and Energetic Ethereals.
Wind Ethereal’s style consists of ascetic Natural with a touch of Dramatic elements. The heavy accents are motorcycle and rocker styles. Next, we also have the military field style elements (the military gala style is King). These are, for example, cargo pants, military parkas, military-style shoes.
There are also leather clothes and accessories (matte leather, often worn-out), washed denim, melanges, acid-wash, shaded, worn-out, destroyed fabrics. Wind Ethereal’s most typical garment is a leather biker jacket embellished with stitching or studs. Decorative details are mainly studs, rivets, eyelets, chains, and buckles, but there are no patterns or prints here.
Other elements of style that introduce the desired mood are large scarves tied around the neck, heavy boots (military, motorcycle, rocker), and large hoods.
Jewelry can be leather and decorated with studs, but the best jewelry will be metal (oxidized silver), adorned with rough stones.
The hairstyle for Wind Ethereal is long hair (up to mid-back) with a windblown look.
The Wind style also shows some similarities to the style of Moon Ethereal. The common elements are shades of gray, melange, acid-wash, large hoods, knitwear, and comfortable clothes that do not restrict movements. The main differences between the Wind and the Moon styles are: Yang versus Yin, Natural versus Soft Natural, rough versus smooth, cool versus cozy. Thus, the Wind style for the Soft Natural type must be moderately flowing, gentle, and refined, even if it has a rock vibe.
The extravagant types, i.e., Flamboyant Gamine and Flamboyant Natural, can afford more Wind „craziness,” as long as there are no particular Ethereals in the way, such as: Luminous, Alabaster, Moon, or the strong and dominant Mermaid.
Dramatic type represents the second degree of compatibility with Wind Ethereal. The connection is mainly because Wind Ethereal can significantly impact the figure, making it very slim and slender. However, adjusting the Wind style to Dramatic’s beauty requires adding a hefty dose of Crimson Ethereal style recommendations.
Other Kibbe types must adapt Wind Ethereal to their base guidelines, taking into account all additional Ethereals.
The following will always be safe: colors, knitwear, melange fabrics, denim (without holes and abrasions), matte leather jackets in the right cut, lace-up shoes in the right cut, discreet details on the bags (studs, eyelets).
Wind jewelry is mainly intended for Natural, Flamboyant Natural, and Flamboyant Gamine types.
The essential elements of the Wind style are listed below.
The individual style elements should be adapted to the beauty features and the entire Ethereal configuration.
Wind – and all other Ethereals – can function as an independent element that makes up our type of beauty. In such a case, we are talking about the Ethereal type of beauty. We omit Kibbe typology and classic color analysis.
The above list presents the beauty features that Wind Ethereal is responsible for in its pure form. Please note that how we ultimately look is the result of several Ethereals combined together.

Dear Olga, I am fascinated with the Wind ethereal and I feel really drawn to it! I have a question – would adjusting the wind ethereal color palette to a warmer one since I am a warm autumn, change the effect of the style and thus make it appear less rebellious and free-spirirted? Thank you!

Hi 🙂
From what I understand, we take the colors from a given Ethereal, and then we adjust their shades/hues to our palette. Warm Autumn would have warm shades of grey and white.
Also, I recall Olga saying that black used away from the face is generally safe. However, when used close to the face (e.g. a black biker jacket), it would require a rested skin and look, and putting on some make-up, because it can make the skin look very tired or aged. So you would have to be careful if you don’t want these adverse effects 🙂
