Fairytale Ethereal lives in the forest. He follows Little Red Riding Hood, listens to birds singing, talks to animals. He feeds on strawberries and blueberries. He collects mushrooms and herbs. From time to time, he will encounter the house of Baba Yaga or another witch. He’s playing tag with the gnomes. And when he gets bored of classic fairy tales, he watches cartoons, reads comics. He even likes the ones about space. And he loves to read. Sometimes he is even a bookworm. The library is his quiet haven.

He also has an artistic flair. He paints, draws, sculpts, and writes poetry. He is the most exceptional individual among Ethereals. He goes hand in hand with maximum extravagance and eclecticism. Retro mood blends with cartoons. Fairytales interact with artistry. The past is linked to the future. There are no boundaries of time. There are also virtually no limits when it comes to stylish combinations. The essential thing is that the styling should be fanciful and unusual, a bit out of this world.

Fairytale Ethereal mocks fashion, trends, subdued elegance, or the currently promoted minimalism. He’s free. He can do anything.

Fairytale Ethereal in its basic form is compatible with the following types: Flamboyant Gamine, Soft Gamine (plus Retro Fairytale), Gamine. In the Soft Gamine type, we only use Retro Fairytale cuts.

YIN

The Fairytale style is, first of all, exciting and inspiring. There is also a lot of grotesque and generally understood retro theatrical style. Hence the term already known from the Kibbe typology – theatrical. The high compatibility of Theatrical Romantic style elements with Fairytale Ethereal concerns its sub-type called Retro Fairytale Ethereal. Here the styling is very feminine and almost strictly Yin. Retro Fairytale is calm and somewhat refined. It is associated with the style of a schoolgirl or a retro lady. It mainly refers to the ’40s style. However, you can also find much older elements in it. Victorian and Edwardian styles appear, and they are accompanied by the vibes of other Ethereals, mainly those with predominant Yin. Therefore, Retro Fairytale is not a pure Ethereal. Some of its aspects can be attributed to a typical Fairytale E. However, as a whole, Retro Fairytale looks more like a collage of style elements taken from the guidelines for multiple Ethereals.

The separation of Retro Fairytale was necessary due to its compatibility with the Theatrical Romantic and Soft Classic types, as well as the Soft Gamine type. Retro Fairytale is also very popular. The style associated with it has a lot of fans. Therefore, it had to find its own corner in the Ethereal typology.
